Getting started
Three ways in, because three audiences arrive here for different reasons — everyone — developers, designers, sales, marketing, HR — and a person who has never met the project should find what blue do I use, can I use this component yet, where do I get the logo and which font do I download without asking anyone. Pick the one that is you; each page ends with the first thing to actually do.
Whoever you are, four things hold
Section titled “Whoever you are, four things hold”One source. Every colour, size and rule lives once, in tokens/*.json; the Figma variables, the CSS, the React theme, the chart palette and this site are generated from it. A number you read here is the number in the source, or the build fails. The twelve principles are what the system believes.
Can I use it yet? 88 components, 88 at Beta. Beta means usable, the API may still move in a minor; Ready means it changes only in a major — and a component gets there by the bar, not by a release (Releasing §4). Each one’s status is on the component board, and each one has a page here that renders it.
Where things stand. 188 of 197 build items are done — 95 % — and the roadmap has every one of them.
Who decides. Two approvers, the design lead and the tech lead, and a monthly release note — Governance says what needs one signature, what needs both, and how a decision is made and reopened. How to request a component or a change — what to say, what an answer is, and how long one may take — is Contributing; the Asana board’s intake section is the door, and it was built for people who do not know what a token is.
Pepper UI v1.5.0
The Mobupps design system. 386 tokens, 88 components, 65 pages in the workshop — every page of this site generated from the repository, so nothing here is typed twice.
